West Columbia, SC~ The destination for our trip is Elizabethton, Tennessee. We are leaving on the 21st of July and returning the 28th. The are about 15 adults and just as many youth participating in this auspicious event. We are anxious to share God's Word through VBS, Nursing Home ministry, Appalachian Trail ministry, possibly a sports camp and working in a food pantry.
Our VBS theme comes from the 2001 Truth Trackers. We are fortunate that our church had saved curriculum from that year and what we didn't have on hand the Baptist convention had curriculum we are able to borrow.
The West Side family has been overwhelmingly supportive. Our VBS donated it's mission offering , we have had two dinner fundraisers and several individual donations. I along with all the other team members feel extremely lucky to have such a loving and supportive church family.
